Administrative assistant

  • A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US:

Hurricane Productions started as a mobile DJ company and has evolved into a full-service A/V, Production, and Entertainment company that produces over 150 corporate, non-profit, social, and private events annually. Product and service offerings include Audio / Visual production, entertainment, multimedia, photo novelties, and more.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and service driven candidate who would love to join an expanding Audio / Visual firm. This person would ensure all aspects are meeting the needs of our internal clients (i.e. employees) and foster an environment for business success. We need a self-motivated multi-tasking ninja with excellent communication skills and a fun-loving upbeat attitude. A background in weddings or events is a plus.


WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Providing scheduling support by booking appointments and preventing calendar conflicts.
  • Screening phone calls and routing callers to the appropriate party.
  • Using computers to input events, route emails, schedule meetings, etc.
  • Social Media Management and Scheduling.
  • Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
  • Anticipate the needs of others in order to ensure their seamless and positive experience.
  • Handwriting notes and cards for clients.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Past experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment of changing priorities
  • Demonstrate high energy, strong work ethic, and a sense of urgency
  • Proactive, self-starting, tenacious work habits and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication, listening, and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, meet cascading deadlines, and be organized
  • Graphic design knowledge a big plus.


COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

$10-$15/hour and incentives. Internal advancement opportunities.
